Why The Boca Raton Should be on the Short List for Your Next Family Vacation

Updated: Jan 3

Long known as a destination for the more seasoned among us, Boca Raton doesn’t typically elicit an image of the ideal family vacation destination…until now. The Boca Raton is a renamed and completely overhauled resort on the ocean in Boca Raton, Florida and it is quickly making a name for itself. Five hotels, six pools, a waterpark, lazy river, cabana club, golf course, and a toddler splashpad combine to make this resort sure to please your toddler, pre-teen or even Grandpa.

Let’s start with the items sure to please the youngest guests. The pirate ship themed splash pad is equipped with water cannons, sprinklers, and three tot-sized slides. A bonus for parents: the splash pad surface is a rubberized material similar to your at home play mats, so a fall by an unsteady toddler won’t turn into a vacation ruining injury. The pools are equally friendly for toddlers with several being zero entry, both at the Pool and Beach Clubs. Your toddler will have a space all to their own no matter where the rest of the family wants to set up camp. Restaurants are stocked with reliable favorites including chocolate milk, apple juice and chicken tenders. Dinner locales all have unpublished kid menus, just make sure to ask your server for their offerings. Rooms include complimentary cribs, are impressively sound-proofed, and are very generous in size.

For the teens and pre-teens. This age group seems to gravitate toward the lazy river and two accompanying water slides that boast an impressive size for a hotel. Note there is a minimum height of 44” to ride the slides. Other teen-friendly activities offered by the hotel include several watersports (snorkeling, paddle boarding, surfing and banana boat rides to name a few) and the cool new teen hangout space called The Break designed specifically to cater to ages 11-15.

For the adults. Cabanas, drink service, plenty of food options around the resort and a butler to answer all of your questions. This coupled with the peace of mind that even the hardest to please will be hard pressed to not find something to enjoy.

All this and it's only going to get better. New restaurants and amenities are scheduled to be added throughout 2023! To book, head to https://www.thebocaraton.com/
